NIGHTWISH – Yours Is An Empty Hope (Live at Wembley) Reaction | Floor Jansen Growls!

Nightwish. Wembley. Floor Jansen going full death growl mode. Mate… Ali and I were NOT ready for this one. Today we’re reacting to Nightwish – “Yours Is An Empty Hope” from the iconic Vehicle of Spirit live show at Wembley Arena, and this instantly became one of our favourite Nightwish performances. Everyone talks about Floor’s range, power, and her insane control — but THIS track… this is the rare one where she tears open the gates and drops those feral death growls that feel straight out of a symphonic-death hybrid. From the moment the orchestral hits slam in, the energy is unreal. Tuomas conducting the whole world with his keys, Marco roaring like only Marco can, Emppu bringing that crunchy guitar bite, and Kai absolutely burying that drum kit. Nightwish live is always an experience, but this song is a different beast entirely. And then Floor hits THAT moment. You know the one. The one where the whole crowd explodes and she unleashes those guttural lines with a smile that says, “Oh yeah, I can do this too.” This performance is the perfect example of why Nightwish are one of metal’s most emotional, theatrical and unstoppable live bands. The Vehicle of Spirit era was special — the Wembley crowd, the atmosphere, the production — everything hits harder than your first beer at Wacken. Let us know in the comments what Nightwish track we should react to next. Should we dive deeper into Wembley? Hit some Dark Passion Play era? Maybe take on the full Ghost Love Score trilogy?
