Mac mini (late 2018) RAM upgrade - My first rodeo ðĪ
In this video I upgrade the RAM in my late 2018 Mac mini from the default 8 GB to 32GB. My mac mini was struggling when I had a lot of apps and / or Chrome tabs open. After the upgrade I am seeing quite a nice upgrade in performance. It hasn't necessarily improved xcode compilation times or DaVinci Resolve export times, however, the responsiveness of the mac has improved tremendously and I can now use my system, while such tasks run in the background. I used 2 Crucial 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 Laptop RAM SO-DIMM modules (part number CT16G4SFRA32A) for the upgrade. I purchased these from Amazon India (https://amzn.eu/d/94yUwWH). Total RAM after upgrade is 32 GB. I used the Xiaomi precision screwdriver kit, as it includes all three torx bits (T5, T6 and T10) required for this task.
