Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suite No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1008 performed by cellist Ailbhe McDonagh. This is one of six solo cello suites composed by Bach in the early 18th century sometime during the period 1717 to 1723. The music starts with a prelude. After that, each movement in the suite is inspired by different types of Baroque-era dances. Irish cellist Ailbhe McDonagh made video recordings all six cello suites to accompany her album release "Bach: Complete Solo Cello Suites" which was released on the Steinway & Sons label in 2024.
