8 inch Econolite and Eagle Flatback Traffic Lights

originally recorded on 1-2-23 After filming the Peek pedestrian signal and hanging Siemens pedestrian signals, I went to downtown Nashville to record some of the old traffic lights and pedestrian signals around there, mainly in hopes that the 9 inch worded pedestrian signals would still be around. Thankfully, they were, though this first intersection had already had its ones unfortunately replaced years ago with modern 16 inch ones. This mast arm features an 8 inch Econolite signal that appears to be from the button-back era, which is rather neat to see. Also quite neat to see that it's still fully incandescent, seems like most of the Econolite signals of that age have long since been upgraded to LED. It also features the last classic Eagle flatback signal at this particular intersection, though there are thankfully still a few others around downtown Nashville. Interestingly enough, it appears that when Nashville originally had these installed, they chose to buy them with 9 inch pedestrian signal visors, which make for a rather neat look. They're also painted grey, which is an uncommon signal color.
