Repertoire: Tough Symphonists (2)--Chávez, Arnold and Braga Santos

These three "tough" symphonists began their musical careers quite differently and more conservatively: as romantic nationalists (Chávez and Braga Santos), or populist modernists (Arnold), but they all wound up on individual paths that saw them exploring a much tougher idiom.
