The Kyrö Malt Rye Whiskey is the first single batch rye whiskey that is made from 100% Finnish malted whole grain rye. The German Kyrö team liked the special edition best during the annual tasting. So the Finnish distillery decided to bottle the whiskey especially for Germany. The whiskey matures for a total of 3 years in Marsala and ex-bourbon barrels and the barrels of the Italian liqueur wine give the rye structure a very special, pleasantly sweet finish. The Kyrö Distillery Company was founded in 2012 by five friends while visiting the sauna.
