August 26, 2019 Hillside Village Meeting

Watch this SHOCKING VIDEO! Hillside residents asked the mayor, trustees and clerk (elected officials) to explain the conduct of the Hillside Police related to Proviso West High School in March-April 2019. The mayor, clerk and trustees refuse to answer basic questions! Instead, they falsely blame school officials for causing the scandal. Hillside needs a new mayor, clerk and trustees in the April 2021 election. They are covering up this scandal and refuse to be accountable to Hillside residents. At the video 14:40 mark, the mayor blames school officials for causing the scandal saying, "There was a miscommunication on the school's part. Schools don't like to work with anybody other than themselves. They like to be confined." The mayor's statement is false and unacceptable: The scandal was caused by the mayor's failure to order a joint police-school investigation, apprehend the criminals and protect our children. The scandal was also caused by the police contacting WGN-TV, CBS-TV and WBBM-Radio and blasting our school officials falsely - - instead of calling or meeting with school officials. To date, the police have made no arrests in this matter, despite making outrageous and false accusations on TV and radio. At the video 12:00 mark, the police chief says his investigation is ongoing. However, the chief's 7/23/19 official village memo states that his investigation is over! The chief lied, more misconduct. At the video 15:45 mark, a trustee says that there was a "procedural problem worked out with the school." This is false and unacceptable: The "problem" was misconduct by the mayor and police not to collaborate with the school, catch the bad guys and protect our children. Instead, the police contacted the media, frightened our families and dragged our school and villages into the gutter.
