New York Teens Win 1st and 3rd Places in Nationwide Siemens Science Competition

Three New York area teens were among the big winners in the December 2009 Siemens science competition, which celebrates excellence in math, science and technology. New York City residents Cathy Zhou and Israt Ahmed from Francis Lewis High School and Stephanie Chen of Stuyvesant High won third prize, while Long Island, NY student Ruoyi Jiang took home 1st prize. A total of 2,000 students entered into the high-profile competition.
