END OF AN ERA - The Last Diesel Run for King Karnataka 'KK' Express

An inevitable change and a sad day for the diesel fan as it was the last regular run of diesel traction for one of the famous, prestigious and most loved train of SWR, fondly called as "KING KK" by the railfans, the legendary Karnataka Express. Yet there was much to offer for a diesel fan on its last run - an awesome smoke show, equally awesome honk and acceleration sounds !!! It was the diesel hunk WDP-4D 40423 from Pune Diesel Shed doing the honors for this run of 12628 New Delhi - KSR Bengaluru Karnataka Express It would be electric link from Wadi till the destination from tomorrow (1st May), an RPM WAP-7 or WAP-4 may take the lead The diesel link would be surely missed.
