Hey there! So after my, like, 15th attempt at recording this I finally got it right! I mean I totally fucked up at the end but I guess it's all good. Some interesting facts about the song: Like I said, the song is about transgender youth but Declan McKenna isn't trans, that's why the song is written from an outside perspective. The song was inspired but Leelah Alcorn's story, a trans girl who commited suicide in 2014 due to her unaccepting parents. The word "paracetamol" is used in the song as a metaphor for conversion therapy and it emphasizes the idea that some people think being transgender can be "cured" (like saying, "take this medicine (paracetamol) and you'll be 'ok' ".
