Full Recipe \/ Recipe: http://goo.gl/6Qenml Pin The Pop-Tarts: https://goo.gl/tA0NGd Ingredients: Pastry Dough: 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups butter, cubed 1/4 cup powdered sugar 5 large eggs, yolks only 1/2 cup cold water 1/2 teaspoon salt Brown Sugar Cinnamon Filling: 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour Cinnamon Frosting: 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon milk Frosted Strawberry: 1/2 cup strawberry jelly 1/4 cup powdered sugar 2 teaspoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons sprinkles Raspberry: 1/2 cup raspberry jelly Directions: Pastry Dough: Whisk together the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Using a fork or your hands, combine in the cold cube butter until it creates crumbles. Pour is the egg yolks and water and mix together until dough forms. Remove dough from bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes. Roll out dough to 1/8” thick. Cut out 3” by 4” rectangles. To create egg wash, combine 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon water. Lightly brush egg wash on the top and bottom portions when ready. Your pastries are almost Pop Tarts, choose your favorite combination! Cinnamon Sugar: Combine the 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp all-purpose flour, and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a bowl. Egg wash your pastries and spoon mixture onto the bottom of the pastry. With a toothpick or fork, poke holes in the top layer of the pastry to allow steam to escape. Place the top layer onto the pastry. With a fork, crimp the pastry closed to create a pattern. Bake the pop tarts at 375°F for 20-25 minutes. Allow pop tarts to cool before frosting. Vanilla Frosting: In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 2 tsp milk. Mix together until thick and creamy, add more or less milk if necessary. Cinnamon Frosting: In a small bowl, combine the 1/4 cup powdered sugar, cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 2 tsp milk. Mix together until thick and creamy, add more or less water if necessary.
