Elite Dangerous: Brutal military-style mining

This NPC Krait was attacked by NPC Conda. Krait was clean and Conda was wanted, so I dealt with the Conda and was about to move along when I heard PA shots. It was Krait shooting at asteroids... So, my guess is that Jock MacGregor recently retired from military, bought used Krait MkII and decided to go fishing. But since there's no fish in space, he went mining. Military-style mining with the biggest friggin' gun he can have. If he was fishing, he'd do it with TNT. This reminds me of Metalocalypse S01E01 - "That is the most metal thing I've ever heard in my whole life".
