Police Sargent Specialist Jonsgaard testifies to theater shooting suspect surrender

APD Sgt. Specialist Gerald Jonsgaard testified Tuesday morning about how he responded to the shooting, taking up a position overlooking the back of the theater. From there, he watched two officers approach and arrest someone dressed like a SWAT officer People vs. James Eagan Holmes. During the course of the trial, prosecutors will argue that Holmes, the admitted gunman, was sane when he went into the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 and wounding 70.
