Bellarmine's only two-time All-American, Walz earned the honor following the 2010 and 2011 seasons. In 2010, both the NFHCA and Womensfieldhockey.com bestowed the recognitions after she racked up 12 goals and 11 assists in 18 games while Bellarmine chalked up 15 wins. The following year, Walz helped the Knights to a 13-4 record as she led the nation in goals (20), assists (19), and points (59) to earn her second-straight All-America honor from Womensfieldhockey.com. Although an injury claimed nearly all of her 2012 season, Walz came back strong and closed her Bellarmine career by again leading the team in points (11 goals, four assists) to earn 1st Team All-Conference honors from the ISA.
