Jill and Parker are sent out by B.S.A.A. head Clive R. O'Brian to search for Chris and his new partner, Jessica, who have reportedly gone missing during a mission. Meanwhile, Chris and Jessica are operating in a snowy mountain region, searching for evidence of the return of Il Veltro, a bio-terrorist organization responsible for the attack and subsequent outbreak in Terragrigia, an artificial aquapolis that was utterly destroyed on orders from Morgan Lansdale. Jill and Parker find their way into the Mediterranean Sea, acting on Chris' last known coordinates. They find themselves taking a tugboat to a seemingly abandoned cruise ship known as the Queen Zenobia. The story is divided into multiple chapters which are often further divided into separate segments. It begins with Jill Valentine and her new partner, Parker Luciani, whom the newly formed BSAA have dispatched to investigate the disappearance of Chris Redfield. Jill's horrific adventures largely take place on an abandoned cruise liner, though the game also features several other locations and follows other characters at various points in time, including Chris, Parker, Jessica, Keith, Quint.
