(25 Apr 2019) Leaders of Europe's far-right parties have campaigned in Prague in the hope that their message will win support for their populist movement in European Parliament elections. They were at a rally of the Freedom and Direct Democracy party - the Czech member of the Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom - in Prague on Thursday. Head of France's National Rally, Marine Le Pen, and Geert Wilders, founder of the Dutch anti-Islam Party for Freedom, were the main draw for a crowd of hundreds at downtown Wenceslas Square. Matteo Salvini, Italy's hard-line interior minister, also sent a video message. They all focused on describing migration and Islam as major threats to Europe, linking them to terror and attacking the European Union. The rally was disrupted by a smaller group of noisy protesters who were pushed away by riot police.
