Every Time You Go Away - Paul Young (play-along for ukulele)

This is a screen-capture video from a TuneLing for "Every Time You Go Away" from the album "The Secret Of Association", by Paul Young. This video is based on the single version of the song (not the longer album track.) This song is also available in a separate TuneLing video for guitar! Notes: Written by Daryl Hall, and originally released by Hall and Oates in 1980, Paul Young's cover of this song became a smash hit in 1985. Among other touches that make it special are some tasteful fretless bass playing by Pino Palladino, as well as an exquisite vocal. The album version of the song features a long intro section, but we've used the single version (the hit!) for this video, which is much more fun for the player. On the guitar, the capo makes it quite straightforward and fairly easy to play, no explanations are really necessary. On the ukulele, this song is a surprisingly good fit, requiring no strange or uncomfortable chords, or even a capo. A near-beginner should handle this one without trouble - maybe after a few minutes of developing some muscle memory for the Fdim ("F diminished") chord.
