Create an Underwater Shot in Houdini (Part 1) | KarmaXPU + MaterialX Workflow

In this tutorial, we’ll walk through the basics of setting up an underwater shot in Houdini. You’ll learn how to build a simple ocean surface, add volumetric light rays, populate your scene with some animated fish and a submarine (with propeller FX), and render it all in KarmaXPU using MaterialX shaders. We’ll then take the render into Nuke for final compositing and color tweaks.
