Germany is under scrutiny for purported inconsistencies between its verbal commitments and actions regarding military aid to Ukraine. While Berlin promised almost $3 billion in military aid to Ukraine in May 2023, including tanks and ammunition, recent reports suggest that only a fraction of this aid has been delivered. For instance, just 10 of the 110 promised Leopard 1 tanks have reached Kyiv.
