Christian Art of War / Live in Love and Joy / Fiery Trials / Jesus is the Way / God With Us

Sin means “missing the mark”. When we worship anyone, or anything, other than God, we are wading deeper into the chaos. Whether it’s Mammon, the god of money, or Aphrodite, the goddess of erotic love, all of our sin is tied to spiritual forces, which are the domain of the Fallen Angels. These desires are the web in which they weave to catch us at our most vulnerable. In this Fallen World, the Devil and his Fallen Angels were able to easily ensnare mankind in their traps, having us all enslaved to sin. It was clear that sin had to be dealt with, and so God devised a plan of rescue and redemption where sin was defeated once and for all. For that plan to take shape, God had to give people the foundation in which to overcome, which He did with Israel in the Old Testament, and make mankind desperate for salvation. We see the Prophets of Israel given the power to rescue and redeem all of mankind, but every one of them keep falling short (missing the mark). Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David and every man who God lifted up, was quickly drug down by their own pride and desires. But God always knew what He was doing. He was using these broken people to reveal Himself little by little, so that the Israelites would know their Savior when He finally came. He was showing the world His power, compassion, and love, while showing that no ordinary man could ever do what needed to be done to overcome the darkness and the power of sin. When Jesus Christ came to this world in the flesh, with the title “Son of Man”, God’s counteroffensive began. The Devil was ready for an attack, but God caught him off guard by coming, not in an act of power and violence, in which the Devil could exploit and turn to his advantage, but in an act of profound love, radical forgiveness, sacrifice and mercy. Jesus came as a Suffering Servant, lived a perfect life to show us how to live, and died a slave’s death upon the Cross. The Devil and his army celebrated their victory after they mocked and attacked Jesus as He suffered on that tree, but three days later they would begin to see that God had turned their fallen nature against them and assured victory humility, love, forgiveness, and surrender. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬-‭19‬) “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬-‭30‬) “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.” My testimony video:    • My Testimony / Signs From God   Like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to stay updated!
