Diane is joined by members of the Innsbruck Chamber Orchestra. About the organ: In 1931 the Austrian organ builder Gebrüder Rieger from Jägerndorf (now Rieger Orgelbau) built a new large organ for the cathedral. This instrument was Opus 2500 for the Rieger firm and one of the largest organs ever constructed for the Tyrol region, featuring 75 registers (stops) with an electro-pneumatic action and a remote division (Fernwerk) of 10 registers situated in the cathedral’s dome. It was installed in the historic organ case of the cathedral, which dated back to the original 1725 instrument.
