How Good or Bad is "Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva"?...
My personal experience here at MDR was that I thoroughly enjoyed "Brahmāstra" as I managed to keep my expectations in check before its release! Enjoy the first of what might be a multi-part analysis and theory series on the film here at Movie Detective Run :) Yello! This is Movie Detective Run. The action-adventure fantasy "Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva" is written by Ayan Mukerji and is his third directorial. In 2022, it has been released on September 9 and is praised as one of Indian cinema's biggest productions, featuring names like Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, Marijke DeSouza, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ayan Mukerji. Star Studios has partnered with Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus to release it in India and overseas as well. In this film rooted in Indian mythology, Amitabh Bachchan stars along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, with a special cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. Originally intended to be the first of a trilogy, the film will form part of a larger cinematic universe referred to as Astraverse. Thus, whether "Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva" or simply "Brahmāstra" will be successful or burdensome for the franchise will be interesting to see.
