Nativity Fast - Day 25 || Daily Devotional || Rev. Fr. Dr. Timothy (Tenny) Thomas (USA) #emgocsm

Day 25 — Christ Is Born “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” — John 1:14 Today we take leave of the Fast and celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of our God, Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. The Church does not merely remember a birth in Bethlehem; she proclaims a miracle that is happening still. Christ is born not only in a cave long ago, but in every heart that opens—even now. Saint Gregory the Theologian names this day with radiant joy: “This festival of re-creation is God’s celebration of humanity.” Christmas is not only God coming to us; it is God entrusting Himself to us. It is heaven bending low not to shame the world, but to affirm its goodness. Divinity wraps itself in humanity so that humanity might be clothed in divinity. The Fast prepared us to recognize this wonder. Each struggle softened the heart. Each silence made room for awe. Now the waiting becomes wonder, and repentance gives way to rejoicing—not because we have arrived, but because God has come. The manger reveals a mystery that never grows old: God does not save us from afar. He dwells among us. He eats our bread, shares our tears, carries our wounds. Salvation is no longer approaching. It is here—breathing, vulnerable, near. So today, do not rush past the miracle. Let Christ be born in the hidden places of our lives: in patience where there was irritation, in gentleness where there was control, in love where there was fear. Choose one habit shaped by the Fast—silence, generosity, forgiveness—and carry it forward. Let Christmas not be the end of your struggle, but the birth of a new way of living in Christ. Blessed Feast of the Nativity! Christ is born—glorify Him!
