BBS BATTLE RINGSIDE - THE Gillette PHAT-BOY VS Rex Konsul 2 HEAVYWEIGHTS GO GLOVES OFF! I couldn't have been more excited getting these two razors out to do some comparisons - and the findings are kind of mind boggling. The Rex OUTWEIGHS the Gillette considerably, but their weight and overall shapes are actually fairly similar. The differences in how they shave though couldn't have been more one sided. The Konsul felt smoother pass for pass (whether that was the actual slant working or not I can't say for certain), and I actually thought the Konsul provided more blade feedback which I prefered. On top of that - I find the Rex Konsul angle easier to maintain on the dome, and I actually got quite a bit of stubble off the Frat-Boy side using the Konsul. Can I also quickly mention here that I was able to FINALLY use Peters new VR1 and I am blown away that this stuff is Vegan. I even PM'd him and said I would replace current tubs I own if he remade them in VR1. The base is SLICK, easy to work with, and a little bit denser so I don't use quite as much (i'm a bit of a over scooper haha). Of all the Vegan bases I've used - this one is TOP NOTCH. And the After Dark scent.....straight lime and tequila!!!
