Today, on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, for factory tow package. Offering the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number is C55384. Here's what our wiring harness is going to look like. This is a very simple, straight forward installation. Simply going to plug our connectors here, which are a factory design, we're going to plug these in, right in line with the factory connection. That's then going to provide us with power coming out here, to our 4-Pole Plug. Which is going to give us turn, brake and clearance light, or trailer marker light signals, as well as our ground. This works great for trailers, cargo carriers, bike racks that might require lighting, anything like that. Nice dust covers going to fit right over the end, after we get in installed. You can see it's got an area there ,that'll go actually around the plug, and hold it in place, so we won't have to worry about losing it. They also provide us with a couple short zip ties. You can put 2 of these together to get the length you need. I used 2 that we've got here in the shop, that are about that long, that's plenty of room to get everything nice and secure. Finding our plug doesn't get much simpler, it's going to be right above our hitch, and right behind our bumper there. Right on top, there's a small tab we can push that in, that'll allow us to pull out our cap. The cap, it's going to slide right back in one side of our T-Connector there. The other end, that's going to slide right into our factory connection point. If I we're doing this as a permanent install, I would use part number 11755, which is a Dielectric Grease, and I'd put it in there. I'm then going to route my 4-Pole over my hitch, under my fascia there. Now it's time to kind of get everything rotated, kind of up here, and out of the way. Then, just zip tie it off. That protective cover, we'll just slide over our plug. I like to use it to actually secure my wiring up, so I don't have to worry about it dragging behind me as we head down the road. That's really all there is for our side of the installation. Now, we'll need to head to the dealer, and have them reflash the computer, so it's going to send the appropriate signals through that we need. That's going to complete our installation of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C55384, on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
