Mapping Global Coffee in 10 Minutes - Speed Mapping with Python | #30DayMapChallenge (13/30)

How much of a map can you make in 10 minutes? For Day 13 of the #30DayMapChallenge this year (theme: 10 Minute Map), I set a timer and went for it - uncut, unscripted, and fast. First, I went to Kaggle - an open platform for datasets, data science competitions, and notebooks - and searched for something mappable. Second, just after a few clicks, I landed on a spatial dataset showing coffee production and exports by country. I knew by then - this map will be about coffee! Third, using Python, I quickly joined the data to Natural Earth country boundaries, and styled a world map with Matplotlib. To speed things up, I used ChatGPT with my usual prompts to fine-tune the colors and layout — matching the warm tones you'd associate with your morning brew ☕.
