The turtles go after the Shredder in the technodrome! It's only the second episode, and we're taking on Shredder already? This is where things really get interesting. Check out the rest of the TMNT Turtles In Time series: -------------------DESCRIPTION------------------- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time is an arcade video game produced by Konami. A sequel to the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) arcade game, it is a side-scrolling beat 'em up type game based mainly on the 1987 TMNT animated series. Turtles in Time was ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992 under the title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, continuing the numbering from the earlier Turtles games released on the NES. The Turtles have come up against some tough stuff in the past, but there's no comparison to what they're about to encounter. While sitting around the sewer watching television, Raphael, Donatello, and the crew witness a giant android ripping the Statue of Liberty from the ground. Use pizza power-ups and huge body slams to make your way backwards and forwards through history in an attempt to restore peace to the Big Apple. -------------------GAMEPLAY FEATURES------------------- Turtles in Time can be played single player or with two players simultaneously fighting cooperatively. Each player gets to choose which of the four turtles they wish to control: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael. Each playable character has his own strengths and weaknesses. New features in this game include the ability to execute a power attack by hitting an enemy several times in a row, and the ability to slam Foot Soldiers into surrounding enemies. Players guide the turtles through a series of levels. The first takes place in the streets of New York City. Later levels transport the turtles to representations of various historical eras. In each level, players face enemies from both the 1987 cartoon and the feature film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. Bosses include Baxter Stockman, Metalhead, Tokka and Rahzar, Beebop and Rocksteady, Krang, and the Shredder. The SNES version of Turtles in Time has some notable differences from the arcade version. It featured the option to give each turtle a unique skin tone. A new technodrome stage was added. Five new bosses were added: Slash, the Rat King, Battletank Shredder, and Bebop and Rocksteady. The game also replaces the final boss with Super Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. It also adds two regular enemies: Roadkill Rodneys and Mousers. It also made use of the SNES's Mode 7 effect. The SNES version also features a time-trial mode and a two-player versus fight mode.
