Poland prepares for thousands of refugees ahead of potential conflict in Ukraine

As the risk of a Russian invasion of Ukraine rises, organizations in neighbouring Poland are already bracing for a high influx of refugees fleeing into the west. The Red Cross anticipates there could be as many as 50,000 people crossing into Poland per day should Russia invade Ukraine, which could create a humanitarian crisis on a tremendous scale.
