Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld is headed to Archie Comics for a four-issue miniseries reboot of The Mighty Crusaders. Created by Jerry Siegel, Paul Reinman and Mike Sekowsky, the Mighty Crusaders debuted in 1965's Fly-Man #31 before receiving their own title, which ran for just seven issues under the Mighty Comics imprint. It was then revived in 1983 under Red Circle Comics and licensed by DC in 1992, published as The Crusaders under the !mpact line. The original team consisted of Black Hood, The Comet, The Fly, Flygirl and Shield, and elements of the team have since made their way into The CW's Riverdale. The Mighty Crusaders #1, by Rob Liefeld, goes on sale in 2021 from Archie Comics. Atomahawk: Grant Morrison Joins Donny Cates and Ian Bederman's Kickstarter Via cbr.com Donny Cates and Ian Bederman are looking to fund their Atomahawk-based Kickstarter with a new story by Bederman and Grant Morrison. Donny Cates and Ian Bederman have offered an enticing new addition to their Atomahawk Kickstarter. The Kickstarter features an additional tier, which will feature a new Atomahawk story written by prolific comic book scribe Grant Morrison and illustrated by Bederman. The story will be available in digital download form, as well as the first printed edition. Created by Cates and Bederman, Atomahawk was originally published in Heavy Metal magazine and later in Image Comics. The series follows the Cyberzerker, who wields the mighty Atomahawk and intends to free his god from imprisonment. Morrison described it as, "A screaming black hole feedback squall of death metal Kirby-kozmik energy spinning straight towards your prefrontal cortex." BAD IDEA REVEALS 'B-SIDE' STORIES FOR FIRST COMICS Via ICv2.com Bad Idea has revealed the first of what it’s calling its "B-Side" stories (don’t call them back-ups), the non-lead features that are being included in the first releases from the company, beginning in March 2021.  The additional content will be included in each oversize issue from the company. The first B-Side story, which will appear in Eniac #1, the first Bad Idea comic issue, is "Save Now," written by Matt Kindt, with art by Tomas Giorello and colors by Diego Rodriguez.  Future issues will feature: • "Hank Howard, Pizza Detective," written by Robert Venditti with art and cover by David Lapham and colors by Jose Villarrubia. • "Monsters in My Life," written by Peter Milligan with art, colors, and cover by Sarah Burrini. • "Hero Trade," written by Matt Kindt with art, letters, and cover by David Lapham.  This was originally published earlier this year as a very limited edition ashcan-style comic sent to Bad Idea retailers.  It will be the B-Side story in Eniac #3. • "The Provider," written by Sean Ryan, art and cover by Khari Evans, and colors by Andrew Dalhouse. #comicbooks #robliefeld #comicbooknews Contact Thinking Critical: Twitter:   / wes_from_tc   Email [email protected]
