This is a video from the 20th of August 2016 - Beamfest music festival at The Sunbeam Hotel pub (Newton-Le-Willows). There were lots of live bands and artists playing on the day and I've quite a few clips to upload from this event. I provided the full PA and lighting system and mixed the event with a friend. This video was recorded from behind the mixing desk by a friend I believe, I think a Samsung Galaxy S4 was used to capture it and the built in microphone. Not the best sound quality but it works passably. I used my Soundcraft Spirit 8 (16 channel) console that I restored for this event as well as a multichannel recording into Pro Tools 11 on my laptop using the Tascam US-16x08 audio interface from the direct outputs of the desk. The PA system was rather large and consisted of McGregor speakers, bass bins and amplifiers. I also used a loudspeaker management system for my second time on this gig (the DBX DriveRack PA2). The main PA is made up from 4x 215 Bass bins loaded with Eminence Kappa 15LFA drivers, That's 2x 15" drivers in each of the four bins. The tops are loaded with Eminence PS15-500 Professional Series 15" drivers and B&C copy Titanium 60 watt 16 Ohm compression drivers on long throw flares. The whole PA system comes in at around 6000W (6kW) RMS power (I don't quote ridiculous peak power ratings..) and is supplied from a 32A single phase ceeform down a 100M cable run. I will have many more 'behind the desk' clips and short videos uploaded soon from this festival and more!
