Hostage rescue among drills rehearsed by Taiwanese armed forces

(14 Dec 2017) Taiwan's military on Thursday conducted a drill in which they were faced with an attack on their defence ministry and were required to rescue a hostage. The rehearsal, designed to prepare forces for any potential real attack, involved armed forces engaging in battle with people posing as insurgents. The special forces managed to defeat the attackers and eventually rescue a hostage who they airlifted to safety.
