Farm laws aim to finish off India's farmers, Rahul Gandhi says on Congress' 'Kisan Adhikar Divas'

#ThePrintUncut As the Congress observed 'Kisan Adhikar Divas' or 'Farmer Rights Day' Friday, former AICC chief Rahul Gandhi joined a protest by the party at Jantar Mantar in support of the agitating farmers. Addressing the media, he said the three farm laws passed by the Centre aimed to "finish off the farmers". "The Modi government] fundamentally misunderstands who gave India Independence. Ambani-Adani did not give India Independence, but our farmers did. They gave their blood to this nation and have maintained our Independence," he said.
