Southern Idaho weather forecast: Sunny start to October, with a warming trend expected this week

A beautiful stretch of weather is ahead, as high pressure builds in over the region. We'll put the "weather machine on cruise control" for the week ahead. Expect mostly sunny skies, warmer-than-average temperatures and dry conditions to continue into next weekend. The low temperature in Boise Saturday morning was 43°. That's the coolest temperature in Boise since June 15th (42°), which was 108 days ago! That does look like the coolest temperature we'll see for the next several days, as lows in Boise will be around 50° each morning this week. Lows for the rest of the Treasure Valley will be in the mid and upper 40s, with highs in the mid and upper 70's to around 80°. Dry conditions, sunny skies, light wind...
