Traditionally, on the Fourth Sunday of Advent we would not have a Christmas tree or other adornments up -- because it is not yet the Christmas season, which, in the Church, runs from Christmas Eve through Epiphany, January 6. This year, due to our annual congregational meeting being postponed by weather until December 21, we opted to put the trees up on December 20 rather than after our last Advent service on the 21st. At Christmastime, the lights will be lit, the creche will be a focus, and poinsettias will adorn the church in honor of Christ's Nativity. We invite you to join us, in person or virtually, at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and at 11 a.m. on Christmas day. The Mass ends with the sending hymn and no postlude, as we went directly into the annual meeting.
