Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has visited Ahmed al-Ahmed in hospital, praising his bravery after the 43-year-old was shot while confronting an attacker during the Bondi shooting in Australia. Ahmed al-Ahmed, a Muslim fruit shop owner in Sydney, originally from Idlib in northern Syria and a father of two, was shot twice as he charged the attacker, wrestled a rifle from his hands, and pointed it at him as the attacker retreated. Video footage of the moment quickly went viral, showing the unarmed man grappling with the attacker.
