5 ESSENTIAL Ankle Strength Exercises for Ballet Dancers

Join our FREE Online Ballet Community - https://www.skool.com/internet-ballet... Strong ankles are the pinnacle of any ballet dancer. Whether you are a professional dancer, student dancer, pre-professional or adult dancer, strong ankles are going to help us with jumps, pirouettes, and preventing injury from such as sprains, rolled ankles, and pronation. In this video, I give you the 5 most important ankle strengthening exercises for ballet dancers using a theraband. Although the exercises are quite basic, and many of us may know them already, I knew it was important to make this video not only for all those that may need a refresher but also for myself as a male ballet dancer “out of commission” due to closed theatres and non- operating ballet companies. I encourage you, whether you are a professional, student, or adult ballet dancer to incorporate these exercises at LEAST every other day. Simply taking ballet class is not enough, we need to incorporate exercises such as these theraband ankle strengthening exercises into our routines to promote flexibility, strength, and control in our feet - the BASIS of any ballet dancer. In the coming weeks, more videos will be coming out on how to strengthen your ankles, core, hips, and how to properly stretch. If there are any video topics you would like covered, be sure to reach out to me via instagram dm or in the comment section below dancers! Thank you for watching dancers, please don’t forget to subscribe! Thank you for all the support on my channel and videos!
