What if Kobe and LeBron Played Against Each Other in the 2009 NBA Finals

In the 2008 - 2009 NBA season, there was looking to be one of the greatest Finals matchups of our time, between two of the sport’s greatest players, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Through a brutally tough Western conference finals, the Lakers fought past the Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, who pushed them to a game 7, and the Denver Nuggets, who was at that time, led by one of the league’s most promising young all around scorers in Carmelo Anthony. However, over in the Eastern Conference, the second half of this dream matchup, would suffer at the doors of the NBA Finals. Easily getting past the Pistons and Hawks, the Cavaliers would lose to the Orlando Magic, simply due to the fact that the match ups throughout that Orlando series, made it extremely difficult to guard against Dwight Howard, let alone score. In the end, they would fall to the Magic in 6 games, leaving the NBA world wondering if we would ever see Kobe and LeBron face in the NBA Finals, which after the 2010 and 2011 NBA Playoffs, we knew would never happen. However, what if the Kevin Garnetless Boston Celtics beat the Magic, and the Cavaliers beat those Celtics, and the 2009 NBA FInals consisted of the Los Angeles Lakers, led by Kobe Bryant, vs the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James. In this what-if scenario I will first be grading each team’s features, such as their bench, coach, offense, defense, and superstars. To go further in-depth on this what-if, we will be applying multipliers to each category, which will be shown on the screen as of now. If you don’t understand, you’ll see how it works as we continue further into the video.
