Northern Viper 2020

U.S. Marines from 3rd Marine Division and across III Marine Expeditionary Force, conduct exercise Northern Viper 2020, with members of 5th Brigade, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, at Hokudaien and Yausubetsu Training Areas, Hokkaido, Japan, Jan. 26 to Feb. 8, 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the interoperability of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing the Marine Air-Ground Task Forces from III Marine Expeditionary Force to maintain their lethality and proficiency in combined arms operations in cold weather environments.
