Fact 1 – Lions live in families Lions are the only big cats that live in groups, called prides. A pride can have up to 30 lions. They hunt together, raise their cubs together, and protect each other like one big family. Fact 2 – The females do most of the hunting In most prides, lionesses are the main hunters. The males usually protect the pride and territory. They work as a team, surround their prey, and use teamwork to bring it down.
