Devil May Cry HD (PS4) - Mission 15

Now we're back to this yard area where we first fought Griffon. Since we have the shield key item, we can use it to open the blue and red shield doors that take us to some small trap filled areas with moving floors and spikes. Fortunately, there is a beam of light in these areas you can use to get your DT to max so you can use Air Raid to simply fly about and easily avoid the spikes. One door will take us to a pair of lances which we need to progress. Another takes us to the final gun for Dante's arsenal, Nightmare-Beta. Nightmare-Beta is unique in that it absorbs Dante's DT to fire. It fires a particularly powerful blast, more so if charged up, and the blast bounces around the room several times before dispersing. Naturally it's more effective in tight corridors, but I tend to never use this gun simply due to the fact that DT is much better spent on Air Raid or Inferno attacks rather than firing Nightmare-Beta. 17:15 - Griffon 3 - Using the twin lances, we can enter the colosseum and engage Griffon in his final boss battle. This time he's realized that landing is only going to screw him over so he spends pretty much the entire fight flying above you and attacking you with his lasers. Since I wasn't really sure how to deal with him, I ended up losing my first round against him. After that though, I realized you can use the nearby towers to go to the top of the arena and get closer to him with the bridge so you can get your attacks to reach Air Raid is, as always, your friend here. You can make use of his platforms to reach him as well since they spawn in in relation to your current location, meaning one can potentially spawn right next to him within sword chopping distance. Once enough damage is dealt to him, his wing will come off and you'll be able to fight him like normal on the ground. He takes a bit of doing to take down, but he's really not too hard to content with once you get the hang of it. After that, Griffon pleads with Mundus to grant him more power to fight Dante again, despite Dante warning him that he's too wounded to keep fighting. Then we actually see Dante get pissed for the first time as he's utterly disgusted with how Mundus would kill his own ally like that.
