Leave a like if you enjoyed the video :) Cole Caufield had a goal and an assist for the Montreal Canadiens in a 2-1 win against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Kirby Dach scored a power-play goal and Sam Montembeault made 39 saves for the Canadiens (18-23-3), who have won three of their past five games after losing seven in a row (0-6-1). Montembeault made eight saves in the last five minutes of the third period. He made 36 saves in a 2-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday. Artemi Panarin scored and Igor Shesterkin made 29 saves for the Rangers (24-13-7), who had a seven-game point streak end. K'Andre Miller had an assist on Panarin's goal to extend his point streak to six games (three goals, five assists). Dach gave Montreal a 1-0 lead at 4:54 of the second period, scoring on the power play off a 3-on-2 rush after Jacob Trouba's shot on a short-handed 2-on-1 rush went wide and the Canadiens regrouped to get the 3-on-2. Caufield moved the puck to Christian Dvorak, who gave it to Dach and he scored with a glove-side shot from the right hash marks. Dach set a new NHL career-high with 27 points. Panarin tied it 1-1 at 16:03, scoring during a delayed Canadiens penalty at 16:03. New York didn't convert on a power play that started at 13:08, but held the puck in the zone. Shesterkin left for the extra skater because of the delayed penalty and Panarin scored with a wrist shot from the right face-off circle. Caufield made it 2-1 at 8:56 of the third period, burying a shot by Shesterkin after Miller lost the puck in his skates behind the Rangers' goal line and Nick Suzuki moved it up to Caufield between the circles. It was Caufield's 26th goal, and seventh over the past eight games.
