DRDO ATAGs artillery gun cleared final trial | Ready for induction

Danush is ready: On 9th march we informed our viewers that Dhanush has cleared 2nd line firing trials at Pokharan firing range on Tuesday and they are ready for deployment. Second line of firing means the firing of guns through ammunition replenishment of 45 rounds each continuously. Two Dhanush guns fired 90 rounds each “flawlessly” as part of the second line of firing in Zone 6 at the Pokhran firing range. Now, Dhanush is all set to be inducted into Indian army and no more further trails are needed. DRDO+ TASL’s ATAGS: cleared trials On 28th April this year, it was reported that DRDO-T A S L 155-mm, 52-caliber Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (A T A G S) is undergoing the last stages of the trial and could soon be inducted into the Indian Army. As per the latest update, ATAGs has faultlessly completed confirmatory trials. This is a proud moment towards Self-reliant India in critical Weapons Systems. Issues with last trails: Back in September 2021, A T A G S had completed its summer trials. Before that it has completed the test at an altitude of 13000 + feet in Sikkim - a new world record which no other 155mm gun has reached. However, it was reported that ATAGs has failed on few parameters. There was “inconsistency” in the overall performance of the gun when firing was conducted in June last year. The gun has cleared the mobility trials but faced issues with the auto ammunition loading bridge opening operations. However, this time DRDO has done is homework and finally ATAGS is ready for induction into Indian army. ATAGS Spec: In burst mode, the rate of fire for ATAGS is 6 rounds in 30 seconds. In intense mode, the rate of fire for ATAGS is 15 rounds in 3 mins. In sustained mode, the rate of fire for ATAGS is 60 rounds in 1hours. ATags has a maximum range of 40KMs. However, back in 2017, during a trial, ATAGS broke the world record for 155mm gun by firing to a distance of 47.2KMs. It again broke this record by registering a firing distance of 48.074KMs. Looking at these parameters its quite evident that the ATAGS is having better fire power than any other artillery gun in its class. ==========WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN============= Most of the pictures clip or BGM included in the Video Belongs to their Respected Owners and we do not claim rights.
