The Zanzibar revolution of1964 was one of the bloodiest in East Africa in the 1960,s.As much as it has almost been forgotten,it still lingers in the minds of those who witnessed this piece of history. That it was Okello ,s revolution which succeeded is no doubt.However,his participation in Zanzibar revolution was a short stint. It lasted about three months from January to March.
