September 1994 moves on to Fall Brawl and War Games: The Match Beyond. Ric Flair, having been suspended in storyline is off in Las Vegas with the WCW Title belt (that he doesn't own) enjoying his retirement, and Hogan is having a month off because, well, he's not contracted for four PPVs. The attention instead turns to the ongoing feud between Dustin Rhodes and Col Robert Parker, which has spawned in the last six months into a War Games match featuring Terry Funk, Bunkhouse Buck, Dusty Rhodes and the Nasty Boys. Meng, who looked so dominant at the Clash of the Champions - is not in the match. Why? I do not know. In the WWF it's all about Bob Backlund, and one of the better visual segments of the year so far as he locks in the Chickenwing submission on Lou from the WWF magazine. And in ECW it's all about the debutants, as we look at Doink the Clown as "Borne Again", Chris Benoit and "The Shooter" Dean Malenko.
