The Doom Slayer acquires his Crucible in Doom Eternal during the mission Taras Nabad. The Crucible is a powerful melee weapon that can instantly kill demons, including Titans. In Doom (2016), he briefly obtains a demonic version of the Crucible but never uses it as a weapon. In Doom Eternal, the Slayer retrieves his own Crucible, which he wielded during his time as a Night Sentinel.
