Farm Factor - Kansas Farm Bureau Update - April 25, 2017

(Jamie) Welcome back to Farm Factor and the Kansas Farm Bureau Update. (Speaker) This month Wichita County farmer Amy France was one of 10 selected by American Farm Bureau Federation for the organization’s 9th Partners in Advocacy Leadership class. This high-level, executive training program prepares participants to represent agriculture in the media, public speaking, in congressional testimony and other advocacy arenas. France is chair of Kansas Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers committee and farms with her family in southwest Kansas where they grow wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans along with cattle. She says she’s thrilled for the opportunity to become a better advocate for the life her family is blessed to live, along with all those in the agriculture industry. PAL graduates emerge with the experience and confidence in everything from legislative policy-making and issues management to social media and media relations to effectively engage all critical stakeholders. (Jamie) We’ll be back after the break with this week’s Plain Talk!
