Before we started tanning our own genuine leather and making the beautiful bags and pouches you see in our extensive range of fire making, we focused on making sure the tools we provided were of top notch quality and absolutely fit for purpose. This quest culminated in the production of our very first comprehensive flint and steel kit. We used the skills passed down in our family of blacksmiths to make the very best hand-forged high carbon steel strikers we could. These traditionally inspired fire making tools are perfect for use with any mineral like flint or chert, making fire lighting a doddle. We know this because we scour the mineral beds of Northern Europe to source all of our pieces of high grade flint rock by hand. This kit is where it all started, and it comes with everything you could need to make a primitive fire while out hunting, camping or hiking. As well as a high carbon steel striker and some flint, you'll find linen char cloth made to our very own recipe and a bundle of jute twine which is perfect for kindling.
