February 18th The feast of Saint Simeon of Jerusalem - The Saint of the Day

Today, February 18, we celebrate the feast of *Saint Simeon of Jerusalem. In St. Matthew's Gospel, we read of St. Simon or Simeon who is described as one of our Lord's brethren or kinsmen. Simeon is mentioned only three times in the Holy Scriptures, in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, and in the Acts of the Apostles.
