In May 2000 I went to the Electronic Entertainment Expo with a video camera and recorded lots of game footage. Mainly RPG stuff as I was working for RPGFan at the time, but also things like the famous first MGS2 trailer, and other PS2 games prior to its US launch. 2000 was possibly Sega's most exciting year with all the Dreamcast's innovative releases, so I spent quite a bit of time there. I don't think there's much point in me uploading any game footage to Youtube as it's all a bit dated (although I might check to see if there's videos of pre-release Phantasy Star Online out there, given that it has some stuff that didn't make it into the final game or any of the follow-ups). But the bits between the games with various performances and booth babes are fairly unique to that one weekend, so here's some of that! This vid features rollerblading to promote Jet Set Radio, and some dancers including one dressed as Ulala to promote Space Channel 5. YouTube user 'primatelab' has videos of these performers as well, recorded from different times and vantage points.
