Fake Domestic Trade ministry enforcement officers busted

SHAH ALAM: A special team from the Shah Alam district police headquarters crippled a four-man syndicate which had impersonated as Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) enforcement officers and extorted money from a grocery shop owner based in Section U2, here. The team was created by Shah Alam OCPD Assistant Commissioner Shafien Mamat after a police report was lodged by the victim, who said he was extorted RM3,000 by the impersonators who had accused him of not having a license to operate his business.
